About me

As a therapist I have worked with people from all walks of life who have experienced a range of difficulties and challenges. I have worked for the charity Mind as well as for an organisation providing therapy for people who work in the creative industries.

My life before working as a therapist has seen me undertake a range of roles across different industries.

I have worked with creative people and organisations, from artists, musicians and writers to museums and galleries, supporting them as they seek to find ways to explore and show ideas around what it is to be human, using creativity as a way to express themselves. A lot of this work has also seen me crossing over into working with people in social and healthcare settings, and with people who feel that they have been marginalised by their experiences, especially of being Disabled or Neurodivergent (including ADHD, Autism, Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, Dyscalculia) or minoritised by their ethnic, cultural, or socio-economic background.

I have also project managed creating and installing large retail displays, building works, including undertaking some of the installation and the manual labour myself, and I have worked in hospitality and hotels.  I have lived in big cities and in small rural communities and have the experience of being part of a large family and of being a parent.

All of these experiences, along with being fortunate to experience many very skilful Counselling and Psychotherapy trainers, colleagues and therapists, has led me to be the therapist that I am today.
