Why people come to see me

People often come to therapy feeling lost, stuck, confused, overwhelmed, unable to work out a way forward or feeling in despair, and they have reached a point where coming to see a therapist can feel like the last option, and it takes courage to reach out and ask for support.

The stresses and strains of everyday life can sometimes lead to many differing difficulties and challenges that can affect us all as human beings – sometimes these have been given a name or label such as depression or anxiety or trauma or bereavement, and sometimes they have not been given a name, or do not have a need to be given a name or label to explain how you are feeling.

I am here to listen to you and talk with you, without judgement, through times of difficulty, distress and uncertainty, to find ways to work through what has led you to seek therapy. People often bring things that they have not dared say out loud elsewhere.

I work with care, empathy and confidentially both in short and long-term counselling and psychotherapy for adults, face to face and online.

In person, my practice room is approximately 15 mins from Ludlow, Shropshire, situated just outside Diddlebury in the Corvedale, and within easy reach from Bridgnorth, Church Stretton, Bishop’s Castle, Telford, Leominster, Shrewsbury, Knighton, Newtown and Wolverhampton (50 minutes drive).  I will send a map link and further details before your appointment.
